Technology of Killing of Wells with Blocking Hydrophobic-Emulsive solution "СНК-2"
The proposed blocking hydrophobic-emulsive solution (СНК-2) is a well killing emulsion of inverse type with hydrocarbon external phase, which is immiscible both with fresh and brine waters.
СНК-2 is intended for killing wells during maintenance and overhaul of wells. Application of СНК-2 is effective in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs with hydrostatic level of pressure, with abnormally low reservoir pressure (ALRP) and with abnormally high reservoir pressure (AHRP).
Aggregately stable СНК-2 is used to kill wells. The composition is delivered as a complete emulsion and remains stable during transportation, storage and killing operation.
Killing of wells with the blocking hydrophobic-emulsive solution is carried out retaining oil production rate after repair works, as well as the ease of wells completion.

- surface-active substance;
- hydrocarbon solvent;
- A solution of saline water and mineral salts.
Methodical support
When calculating the volume of killing fluid the structural, mechanical and rheological characteristics of the СНК-2, geological and physical characteristics of the reservoir and the well design are taken into account. The optimum amount of killing fluid is set using "The calculation of the optimum volume at killing of oil wells" program.
Applicable equipment
During the process of killing of wells the following technical means are used:
- units for preparation of inverse emulsions УОЭ-1
- mobile pumping unit: pump truck or AN-700;
- Road tank car and its analogs.
